Presentation of the players 2024

Brief introduction of the participants 2024:

We are very pleased that Veronika, the defending champion, is taking part in the TTNM again this year. Veronika is one of the best players in Ukraine and has international experience. She is 22 years old and is one of the top favorites again this year. Her home club is MTV Engelbostel-Schulenburg (3rd Bundesliga). In 2021, Veronika took part in the European Team Championships with the Ukrainian national team.

Funke's participation is not yet certain, but we would be very happy if the great athlete would be there again in 2024.

Funke is a real star, and not just in her home country of Nigeria. The national player, best African table tennis player of all time, multiple African champion and seven-time Olympian is one of the women who has participated in the Olympics the most times. In her home country, the player from the third division team of SC Poppenbüttel supports children with her Funke Oshonaike Foundation with a lot of heart. It would be nice to have her back at the TT Nordmasters.

The young student moved from Kellinghusen back to her hometown club SV Friedrichsgabe for the next season, for whom she now plays in the 3rd league and the regional league. Even though Anna can no longer train as often due to her studies and work, she is still one of the best in Schleswig-Holstein. The former youth national player is happy to be able to take part in the TTNM again and we can look forward to great games from the ambidextrous 20-year-old offensive player.

Alina is currently building her new home in southern Germany and cannot yet confirm her participation. We will wait a little longer.

For the new season, the likeable Ukrainian moved from third division club VfL Kellinghusen, where she has been a reliable player for the past few years, to TTV 1980 Beratzhausen in southern Germany. Alina regularly travels to her hometown in Ukraine, where her family lives. We wish Alina and her family all the best.

Mille played for TSV Schwarzenbek in one of the most successful regional league records in the upper pairs. Now she has moved to MTV Englbostel-Schulenburg in the 3rd Bundesliga.

The 20-year-old has joined the ranks of the best women in Denmark and is a member of the Danish national team.

This year we have players from the Danish youth/junior national team at the Nordmasters again. Jocefina plays for Hvidovre Bordtennis in the first Danish league and also for the Swedish club Västers. The now 20-year-old is also one of the top Danish women, the U21 and also with her team.

Sally moved to Friedrichsgabe last year and lives there too. She had a very positive record in the regional league and was also impressive in her Bundesliga appearances. In 2021, Sally and her club became Danish champions, and in 2022 they reached the semifinals. We can look forward to exciting games from the 20-year-old, who took second place in the Danish Junior Top 12 tournament in 2021.

Mariia will also start the next season for the third division team VfL Kellinghusen. The young Ukrainian spends most of her time in Kellinghusen and is happy to be taking part in the TT Nordmasters for the third time. She plays for her home country in the national team and most recently took part in the European Youth Championships in summer 2021. Maria is definitely one of the extended circle of favorites.

The likeable young Dane has moved to VfL Kellinghusen in the 3rd Bundesliga for the coming season. Emma is one of the top players of her year in Denmark and won this year's Northern European Championships (tournament for the national teams of Scandinavia) with Mille and Maja. She is currently playing for Denmark with Maja and Mille in the European Youth Championships, where the team made it to the 1/8 finals. Welcome Emma.

Maja just won the international Northern European Championships together with Mille and Emma. She also won the international tournament in Linz/Austria and is currently competing for Denmark in the Youth Euros. She has been a member of the Danish youth national team for a long time. Her goal is to continue playing internationally for Denmark in the future and to continue to develop her game. For the new season, Maja moved to the regional league team TSV Schwarzenbek.

Unfortunately, Fausytna’s participation has not yet been finalized.

The 16-year-old is part of the DTTB national squad and one of the best players in her age group. Fastyna plays in the 3rd Bundesliga for Engelbostel-Schulenburg and has also won German championships several times with her club's girls' team. In 2024, she competed in the German finals in both the J19 and adult classes. In 2024, Faustyna became Central German women's champion. Faustyna has always been at the top of the national rankings in her age group. We would be delighted if Faustyna were there again this year.

Min is one of Hamburg's best players and the second representative of Niendorfer TSV. The former Schnelsen regional player has been playing at the same high level for years and is one of the top players in the premier league. Min Jian is Australian, was born in China and played professional table tennis as a teenager. She ended her career at the age of 18. After the birth of her child in Australia, she started playing table tennis again and won the titles in women's singles, doubles and mixed at the Western Australian Open in 2014. In the same year she moved to Hamburg and has taken part in the regional league and premier league in recent years. Min is delighted to have been invited to the TT-Nordmasters for the first time.

Nicola has been playing in the top pairs for the top division team Niendorfer TSV for years. She learned at MTV Tostedt, where she also played in the 2nd Bundesliga. Nicola has long been one of Hamburg's best players and regularly represents Hamburg at the North German Championships.

Kira is one of the best youth players in the Thuringian Association, with whom we have a cooperation. The former Brandenburger now lives in the TT boarding school in Erfurt, trains there daily and is constantly improving. Kira has already won several titles at state level in both Brandenburg and Thuringia and regularly plays in the national tournaments in her age group. Kira came 11th in the last Top 12 tournament J15 and she also took part in the finals at international tournaments in Linz and Prague.

Laura has been playing for SV Friedrichsgabe from the start and has now established herself in both the regional league and 3rd Bundesliga teams. She is also one of the best players in her age group at the national level. In 2022/2023, Laura became the youngest women's champion in the TTVSH and won 1st place at the U19 state championships

We can look forward to an offensively oriented top player.

Sabine has stepped into the field for the injured Chiara Steenbuck. She is one of the more experienced players in the tournament. With her great overview of the game, she can make things difficult for the younger players. She recently achieved third place in the doubles at the Senior Women's World Championship in Rome. Sabine is one of the top three women in Hamburg.

Lena is one of the most talented young players in Hamburg. The material player with long pimples on her backhand plays a modern and varied game at the table and is known for her enormous fighting spirit. Lena has now also made a name for herself at the national level in her age group. Next season she will be the top player of her home club Grün Weiß Harburg in the top league.

Lea moved from Hundsmühler TV to the regional league team of SC Poppenbüttel for the new season. The 16-year-old state squad athlete from Lower Saxony trains daily, came third in the state rankings in Lower Saxony and represented the TTVN in the Top 48 of the J19 girls. We are delighted to welcome Lea to the TTNM for the first time.

Annika had a very good record in the top league at Kieler TTK and was promoted to the regional league with her team. In her youth she continues to play for TTG 207 Ahrensburg. In Hamburg Annika is the best youth player and at national level she also made it to the top 24 in the J19 class in her first year as a girl.

We can look forward to good games from the two-sided topspin player.

The Hamburg TT Association squad player played successfully last season in both the top league team and the regional league of SC Poppenbüttel. The hard-working youth player took part in both the North German Youth Championships and the DTTB Top 48 and is the reigning Hamburg women's champion.

Jana is a regular member of the SV Friedrichsgabe regional league team and has been convincing with positive results for years. With her varied game, the material player can pose a threat to one or two top players again this year.
